Fort Walton Beach First United Methodist Church is a place where we want to create opportunities for our church families and our community to connect generationally, learn God’s word together and serve shoulder to shoulder. Below are listed our annual ministry events. Freedom Festival

Celebrate Independence Day with the FUMC family and our local community at the annual “Freedom Festival.” This event is help on July 4th from 6:00 p.m. till 9:00 p.m. in our parking and grounds.There is always plenty of FREE food and LOTS of fellowship! There are games and activities for all ages.

  • Photo Booth * Cake Walk* Gigantic Water Slide * Crafts * Bouncy Houses
  • Following the activities we all settle in lawn chair for the City of FWB fireworks display at 8:45 p.m.
  • Invite a friend, grab a lawn chair and join the fun!

FUMSchool Spirit Sunday Chowdown

Join us each September for this family event as we welcome our schools faculty and families to join us for a time of worship and fellowship. We join together for a time of worship at one of our 11:00AM worship service, then gather on the grounds afterward for a large tailgate party. Our tailgating includes your favorite teams such as Auburn, Alabama, Florida, Florida State, Louisiana State University and many more. Each team decorates for a spirit award, brings their favorite tailgate games and great food. This years Spirit Sunday Chowdown will be September 24th.

Shine Your Light Neighborhood Ministry

Shine Your Light Neighborhood Ministry is all about creating relationships, making a difference and shining our light for Christ on Halloween. That night we encourage our church families to create family friendly Christ centered environments at their homes, build relationships with their neighbors and create a clean and safe alternative to a night that can be dark and destructive. If this sounds interesting and you would like more information, to sign up to host a site or to help at one, please submit your information with the online form  below and we will contact you.
